My Past Life

A lover's look into an ancient past

There are those moments when you wonder about yourself. Sure, you can have a psychic look into your future, but why not have a psychic look into your past? Forget the existential "who am I" question - find out who you were. Those who do not learn their history are doomed to repeat it, right? After my personal struggle with life's deep questions, I decided it was high time to stop pondering the unknown and take a look into my past lives to find out who I used to be. I wanted to know:

How could my current self learn from my past selves?

So I turned to Jesse (ext. 9027) for a past life reading. Within two minutes I knew Jesse could help me find the key to breaking old patterns. She explained that a past life reading picks up on the common thread between who I was then and who I am now, which is exactly what I wanted.

Bright, beautiful and broke
Almost immediately, Jesse started picking up on my most recent past life. She could see Paris in the mid-1920s. The images came to her so strongly she told me she was getting a headache from them. Jesse could see my past life had a very esoteric, bohemian feel and was a time of great adventure. It seemed I was born of nobility (oooh - I like that!), but was considered the wild child of my family and had been disowned. As a result, I was "bright, beautiful and broke." (Ah... figures...some things never change.)

Looking at Paris in the 20s, Jesse could see there were direct correlations with my current life, specifically where love was/is involved. Quickly, the images became more clear and specific. She saw that my current beloved and I had been a long-standing item in the past, but we were forcefully separated by something outside our idyllic circle. Jesse had visions of World War II and of my sweetie joining the French Resistance. (My partner is always defending the underdog - again, some things never change.) Like ripping off a band-aid, Jesse delivered the next piece as quickly as she could: "I see her sitting at a radio and being discovered by Nazis. They shot her immediately."

Hold on tightly
Jesse went on to explain how this past tragedy explained aspects of my current life. Chain reactions going back several centuries have made my love lives tumultuous. Time and again, lifetime after lifetime, something seemed to pull me apart from my sweetie. As far as karma was concerned, I was not getting the point.

When my partner and I first met in this lifetime, we were both involved in other relationships. We had developed a friendship, but then... well... let's just say that history repeated itself. When a romance spans several lifetimes, it's hard to resist the pull. But before long, external forces (can you say "bitter ex" or "disapproving family member?") were once again on the move to pull our romance apart. Jesse said that our current relationship would continue to be tested until we learned our karmic lesson.

After all of these lives together, and finding each other once again, I plan on learning my lesson. I'm not letting her go for anything.
