Can negative spirits cause bad luck in our lives, and where do our spirit guides come in to help us?

I was recently told by a psychic that she saw three months of really good luck coming my way especially in my relationship matters, and I paid for a year-long reading. Once she got my money, I was told that I have a negative spirit that’s looming in my life, and has been causing all the loneliness and sadness in my life. I was then told that she could help dispel this negative spirit to help me heal my life for $300.

I am not a stupid woman, just a desperate one as of late, which is why I even responded to this in the first place. I didn’t the second time. I ask my spirit guides and angels to help me daily, but I feel I am talking to thin air… I feel no presence of them in my life, which makes me wonder if they exist, and if so, is the negative being more powerful than them?
