In Memory of Patrick Swayze

After more than a year of publicly battling pancreatic cancer, actor Patrick Swayze passed away on September 14, 2009 – one year ago today. The fiery Leo dancer extraordinaire was star of such hits as Dirty Dancing, Point Break and Ghost. Swayze’s mother ran a dance studio in his native Houston, Texas, and after a stint as Prince Charming in Disney on Parade and as Danny Zuco in the original Broadway production of Grease, Swayze began working in film. An interesting placement of Mars Square Pluto might explain his optimism throughout his battle after being diagnosed with pancreatic cancer. This placement also gave him a tremendous amount of willpower to pursue his dreams passionately and relentlessly. Since his diagnosis, he had been working steadily on the television show The Beast. He is survived by his wife of 34 years, Lisa Niemi, whom he met at his mother’s dance studio. May he rest in peace and may his legacy continue to shine on.
