Mary Queen of Scots

It was not a good idea to upset the Queen in Elizabethan England… you just might lose your head! That is precisely what happened to Elizabeth I’s cousin, Mary Queen of Scots. On this day in history, the saucy Sagittarean was put on trial for conspiracy to kill the Virgo Queen – a conspiracy theory that is shaky in the evidence department to this day. True to playful Sagittarean form, even as she walked to her death, some of her last words to the executioner were, “Never have I had such assistants to disrobe me, and never have I put off my clothes before such a company.”
