I might not know the secret to happinessfor everyone or how to be happy all the time, but I do know what makes me happy at this moment. So if you ever find yourself in Los Angeles, and there is some woman walking and singing with her music on her iPod, it’s probably me. I love to sing. It lifts my spirits and calms me down. What’s more, when I’m happy, people around me are happy.
I ride a train and bus to and from work every day. One day, I was waiting for the bus and a really great song came on (Rambling Man by Laura Marling). I listened to that song over and over walking from the office to the bus stop. While sitting at the bus stop, my feet were taping to the beat, my head bopped up and down and I lifted my face to soak in the sunshine. It felt so good. The music flowing loudly into my ears filled me, and I felt at peace with everything. At one point, I glanced around suddenly self-conscious. The lady sitting next to me on the bench was also tapping her foot. On the train, I continued to listen to that song and continued to bop along with it. Sure enough, when I looked around more people were bopping along to some imaginary music or beat. It felt like we were all connected.
One line in particular kept running through me from this song.
Let it always be known that I was who I am.
If this is true (and I believe it is), then who am I? How will I be remembered? Psychic Abigail ext. 9570 talks about how no one outside of yourself can make you happy. So I have to choose to be happy. If I choose to be happy, then it will show through me. It can be contagious. Just like those folks tapping to their own rhythms with me, my happiness flowed out of me and connected with them. I remember meeting my true love during a time when I was extremely happy. He was not only attracted to me, but to my happiness.
So what makes you happy? When was the last time you were happy? By connecting to what you love doing or that which makes you happy, you will feel better. People will comment on it, and you will be noticed for your happiness. I double-dog dare you to find out how many things make you happy.
Let it always be known that I was happy.

Just the fact that you are alive should make you happy. Smile a lot —you get less wrinkles!! — and you will be surprised at how many lovely smiles you get back!
Laughter, Loving, and really Living; that is what all is about.
Diana I can relate.. My husband of 27yrs passed away last year from cancer. He just turned 52 years old…. I have to wonder if I will ever be that happy again with my best friend gone. My son didn’t handle it well and got into trouble now is in jail… Nothing I choose can truly make me happy right now… sometimes is easier said than done
Your article is very helpful. I heard it before many times that I have to feel happy with myself before I can have happy relationship with somebody else. It is little challenging at times to feel happy inside when outside events are not very favorable. I am also sick with a fatal disease which possibly came from my frequent feeling of dissatisfaction with my life. I am now trying to change and appreciate little things in life rather than expect major positive changes.
Cool article. Thanks, Holly!
Abigail, cheers. To all the happiness in the world, you dear, sweet, deep and compassionate one 🙂
Big huggies, Miss Krystal

I like abbigail.
Im really happy any time, becease i do’t think of problems.
I need a virgo.
How stereotypical! Don’t people think of anything more original? The story about head bopping to the music came strictly out of Ally Mc Beal!
yes i want always to be happy even if i have some problems i like you for being a happy person.viva
so basically the first step is to be happy with yourself, and work it from there?

not everyone can be happy. my son has just been sent to prison and he is not happy and nothing I can say will make it better for him.
I certainly agree with you, you must like yourself and be happy with yourself before you can be happy with others.
I want to be happy in mine life
