We believe that a better understanding of our psychics can only deepen your connection with them when you call for a reading. In our continuing series, we talk to our psychics about their day to day lives. Let us introduce you to Psychic Trinity.
What does a typical day off look like for you?
I typically only have one day off a week, and it is what I refer to as ceremony day. The way that I honor my ceremony day is through prayer, Native American Style.
The day begins very early for me, around 5 or 6 am. I wake up and begin packing up my car with food and clothing for later. I drive about two hours through “over the river and through the woods” gorgeousness, to attend a traditional Lakota Inipi, or sweat lodge. The drive is filled with song, laughter, and deep introspection.
The Inipi is a purification ceremony. It is important to my work, and allows me to release mental, physical, and spiritual toxicities. Our ceremony begins in the late morning and ends in the evening and is basically an extended prayer.
Post ceremony is a time of fellowship, joy, and food. It is a time when all who have gathered laugh, feast, and get caught up on all the latest personal news. Then I will pack up and head home, refreshed, renewed, and ready to rest.
This is a 12-hour day from start to finish. The purification that occurs through the heat and steam contained in the lodge is exceptionally important to me as a psychic because it gets me ready to be of service to others, which is both an honor and a blessing.
How do you clear your mind after being on the line all day?
It’s quiet where I live, tucked away from the hustle and bustle of society and this tiny slice of heaven is my sanctuary. I make it a point to be outdoors as often as possible, whether to sit beside our backyard stream and listen to it’s gentle babbling against the moss covered stones, watching the bees bumble, or hummingbirds feed, all of which bring me peace and joy.
On the best of days I’m busy in my garden. I’m a novice gardener but love embracing new things. I also enjoy quiet walks on our winding, country dirt road throughout the year.
What are the fun things that you do in your free time?
I love my pups. They’re both rescue gifts and they hold my heart. So many of my free moments are consumed with loving them.
In the spring, summer, and fall, I love to go kayaking. The stillness of the water and the beauty that surrounds me all provide me a deep inner serenity. During the winter months, I love to build a fire in my oversized stone fireplace while watching the snowflakes in their downward drift.
Lastly, cooking is a huge part of how I show love to others. I love to research recipes and explore other cultures through their food, and I work hard to master every flavor, and technique. I also cook for a large group of people, usually between 100 and 200, during many of our Native American ceremonies. This brings me great joy.
How does being a psychic affect your day to day life?
Well, it’s certainly kept life interesting. Being a psychic is a gift, not a superpower, and what I mean by this is that it isn’t a switch that can be turned on or off. Many times, too many to count actually, I have seen or known things that it might have been best not to know about ahead of time.
For example, I knew the week of my husband’s proposal because I saw the whole thing play out for me like a movie about three days before he asked. Not being an actress, it was difficult to feign surprise.
Did you have a completely different career path in your past?
Yes, I have had several different careers in the past. I have been a department manager in a large grocery store chain. I also have a degree in Mortuary Science and am a certified bereavement counselor. This work has helped me a great deal in my work as a psychic medium.
Have you met someone famous?
Yes! I was fortunate enough to have been standing in line waiting to get into a top selling movie, and in front of me was the comedian Steve Martin. Due to the close proximity, we spoke while waiting. He was more serious than I had imagined, but kind and gracious. He allowed me the opportunity to purchase his ticket. I was thrilled.
In my seventh month of pregnancy with my second child, I was leaving a comedy club and literally walked into the musician Phil Collins. He was so excited about my pregnancy he didn’t let go of my belly the entire time we chatted. I remind my child of her blessed moment regularly.
