Tarot and the Sign of Taurus
Tarot cards are rich with symbolic meaning, and the depth of that symbolism gives each card a zodiac sign to which it is connected.
Of course, any person can connect to any Tarot card under
the right circumstances, especially if it resonates with their personal energy
or regularly shows up when they read for themselves. However, some of these cards
will be more or less compatible with the innate qualities of the different
zodiac signs.
Taurus (April 20 – May 20) is represented by the bull. People born under this sign tend to be loyal, trustworthy, and dependable, and they work hard to attain stability and security. They love beauty, luxury, and comfort. Additionally, as a fixed sign, they can also be quite stubborn. The Tarot cards that are most connected to Taurus therefore reflect the grounded yet sensual vibes of this sign.

Here are the cards that resonate most with the sign of
Taurus:
The Hierophant
Hierophant is a Greek word that means high priest, and this card is also called “the Pope” in some decks. It is the masculine counterpart to The High Priestess. He is depicted as wearing a three-tiered crown and holding a cross that represents the Divine Trinity, as well as the conscious, subconscious, and superconscious minds, over which he has dominion. He also has the Keys of Heaven at his feet, and his hand is raised in blessing. The Hierophant is seen as a spiritual teacher. As such, he represents tradition, convention, religion, education, spiritual authority, and marriage.
The Hierophant resonates closely with Taurus’ fixed, earthy
nature. For instance, many Taureans love tradition, and the stubborn bull can
become quite set in their ways, frequently adhering to the conventions and
ideals they believe in.
Additionally, the Hierophant is the fifth Major Arcana card. The number five represents joy, change, and pleasure — among many other things — and since Taurus is ruled by Venus, it knows a thing or two about sensuality, luxury, and the material world. Even more, Taurus rules the second house of self-worth, personal finances, and valuable items. The Hierophant speaks to these traits because it represents the value of the soul, both spiritually and in the physical world.

The Empress
The Empress is ruled by Venus, just like Taurus is. Even more, Taurus is an earth sign, grounded and feminine. Beautiful, radiant, fertile, and serene, the Empress wears a crown with 12 stars, which are associated with the 12 zodiac signs and months of the year, as well as the planets. She exists in both the mystical and natural worlds.
The Empress is also the third card in the Major Arcana. The number three is creative, social, expressive, communicative, and cheerful. Like the Empress, Taurus can be highly creative and entertaining, and many Taureans are talented performers.
Lastly, the Empress is warm and inviting, representing abundance, fruitful growth, nurture, and the Divine Feminine. As the Mother, she creates life in all its forms. She is sensuous and very loving, qualities that abound in Taurus.

King of Pentacles
The King of Pentacles (also sometimes called the King of Coins) is a court, or face, card in the Minor Arcana. The King is the highest ranking of the court cards.
The King of Pentacles possesses tremendous power in the
material world. He is successful, wealthy, and very stable. His mature energy
represents the faithful, reliable, and steady qualities of the earthy Taurus.
He sits on his stone throne, which is decorated with
sculpted bulls, the symbol of Taurus. His golden crown is adorned with flowers.
Like Taurus, the King of Pentacles can be very traditional, and he can also be a solid, dependable presence in your life. He is often stubborn, but he usually has good intentions when he sticks to his high standards. Likewise, both Taurus and the King of Pentacles are worldly, slightly materialistic, and supportive of their loved ones.
