Finding Peace Through Patience

Instant or Homemade? Light or Dark? Destiny or Karma? Those tough life choices that are put in front of us on a daily basis. Which path do we choose?

We evolved into a society with great feats of technology, option-orientated and left out the important things in life that feed our Body, Mind and Spirit. That’s where all that free will and choice we Psychics talk about comes in.

For me personally, I prefer a home cooked meal from scratch. It takes a little more time, however, I have alleviated all the chemicals, fat producing additives from processed foods that mucks up my body. My body says thank you for treating me well. Most people tell me I’m lying when I say I’m 51. Think about it — would you put water in your gas tank? Why would you put junk in your body? Eventually engine problems arise.

Our minds are the same thing – we over think and over analyze every thing. No peace of mind time. Running and constantly thinking and worrying about what ifs and ya buts. You meet a new person and in 2 weeks you’re wondering will you marry this person? When you think about it you hardly know anything about them.

So you go on and date for 2-3 months and again you wonder will I marry this person? Do you know them yet? Now think again really carefully. Then at about nine months you are all upset and in a state if you are not engaged by the time it’s a year and you’re throwing in the towel. Again do you know this person well enough to say you want to spend the rest of your life with them? Where did the instant relationships come from? It’s like Jell-O you have to let it sit to get firm. We have this notion that it’s ok marry for the wrong reasons. Why not when we can just get another right? Ah, but then you are dealing with hurt souls who were the end results of too fast, and marrying for all the wrong reasons.  So is the replacement easy to find?

Then we come to a point and tell ourselves there’s something wrong with us because we  can’t  find happiness and our spirit aches for love and fulfillment in life. We did not give ourselves time to just let things flow with the natural process.  Instead,  we try to force and put time frames on our journey. Change is inevitable. Growth is an option.

This is one of my favorite quotes: “Our deepest fear is not that we are inadequate. Our deepest fear is that we are powerful beyond measure. It is our own light, not our darkness, that most frightens us. We ask ourselves, who am I to be brilliant, gorgeous, talented and fabulous? Actually, who are you not to be? You are a child of God. You’re playing small doesn’t serve the world. There’s nothing enlightened about shrinking so that other people won’t feel insecure around you. We were born to manifest the glory of God that is within us. It’s not just in some of us, it’s in everyone. And as we let our light shine, we unconsciously give other people permission to do the same. As we are liberated from our own fear, our presence automatically liberates others.” -Marianne Williamson

Dare to be healthy body, mind and spirit. Give yourself the love, time and patience to create the life you came to this earth plane for. Instant is just that – illusions of the real thing.

Many Blessings

Abigail

    I LOVE what you said:
“I’m just to a point in my life that I’m done with all the “What If’s” they are not real, what is real is that I’m Happy, I’m in a good place, everything else will just come, it will turn out the way it should anyway, so I’m just going to laugh, choose to be Happy and Enjoy life!!!! Time to Laugh”
A reminder for me to be happy and peaceful about ALL of the good things in my life…great adviced for all of us!!
(And now I need to pray for the patience to practice it! 🙂 LOL!!

Hi Seha my friend, You just gave me a reading about 30 minutes ago and so you know who this is I will remind you of a sign I was given by the angels in the form of an orange cap and sunglasses. I think you will remember that. I just had to tell you that I was in my truck when we were talking and you said to watch for other signs that this thing would work out for me. Well, you are not gonna believe this. As soon as I started my truck to come home after our talk, I turned my radio up and the song that he had on his phone as my ring tone was just beginning to play. That song was special to me as soon as I knew he had chosen it to play only when I called him. I just started laughing when I heard it and said thank you to God and the angels and the universe for that sign. The song is not new so it doesnt play that often on the radio and I just thought it was so amazing that it started at the moment I turned the volume up. I knew I had seen a post from you and knew if I responded here you would get an alert to come read it. Also a sign I guess that this article deals with patience isnt it. Patience is something I have to have right now and with your reading as well as the others I have received lately and these signs that are being thrown at me, maybe my patience will grow now and I can know just how to handle everything when it starts happening. Thank you so much for the comfort you give me and for saying that if you didnt feel so strongly that this will work out that you would tell me to move on with my life. You are all a real blessing to me. Thank you.

Ya ta hey!! So happy to hear from you. I went in to look at your CP photo. You absolutely have Indian energy. Amazing, because I don’t usually see that in most people who are not of Native American blood.

Thank you for the compliments its a hard thing you know that Patience thing LOL. I find myself taking a deep breath every time I have to say this word because of the response I usually get when I say it, even with ourselves but it gives us peace and a sense of calm if we give ourselves permission and that is the important thing. We need to enjoy the life we are living now.

This was a wonderful article. It is filled with truth, wisdom and courage.
I feel that life is a life long journey of self discovery. This can be a wonderful travel of learning.
A fear based life stunts our spiritual growth and blocks our happiness at an earthly level.
You captured the importance of patience in a very profound way. Thank you and I look forward to other articles you may write.

My mother was from a town called Roccarainola (now that’s a mouthful). But she has relatives that live in almost all of the neighboring towns! I loved it there! I hope I get a chance to go back (I hate to fly, though. Think there’s a chance they’ll build a bridge?)
We get our pizza from a guy who came here from Ischia (!), and it’s the best we’ve found out here so far. Just had some last night…yum!

    Abigail,
Belated compliments on a great article. Over-analyzing rather than letting life flow and wanting to be in a hurry in relationship matters seem to me to be two of the top things we do to actually delay forward motion in our lives and hold ourselves back from that which we really want to achieve.
Letting go of trying to control the progression of life can open so many avenues to us that we might miss while trying to tightly hang on to and control any one avenue.
Thanks again for a skillful article on an important topic.

    Hi Abigail,
So happy to hear from you! I grew up in Brooklyn in an Italian neighborhood. My mother was born in a little town outside of Naples, and while my father was also born in Brooklyn, both his parents were from Calabria. (Now I live in San Diego)
There was a pizza parlor on almost every street corner. That D’amore’s pizza sounds delicious!! Sounds like a good reason to take a day trip up to L.A. How funny that he imports his water!! See, it’s true! It IS all about the water!!
What part of Italy did you live in? I’ve been to Naples and the surrounding area. My favorite place was Capri. So lovely… OH! And the Amalfi coastline is just GORGEOUS!

    Great story.
I feel I have a lot of patience in many things; teaching someone something new, standing in line, any line, at the bank, amusement park, grocery store, post office, etc. Even wait PACIENTLY in TRAFFIC here in good old LA, CA. But the one thing I’ve come to recently find out about myself is being impatient about finding love. I don’t know why it is, I can be patient about everything else, but love?! I want it now, especially when I call my favorite psychics and they tell me its coming.
But as I read this story and many others including the one about perfect timing and messing up. It really helps to put my situation in prospective and I’m able to really think about how I’m going to continue with my life without being impatient about love. As Gina Rose responed to me once, “You wouldn’t try to manually open up the petals on a rose bud, because you would bend and break the petals”? I should let it unfold natutally. I love that she said this!
You all don’t know how helpful all these stories on these blogs are including the responses from the psychics and us regular folks.
I hope that as we continue to read these great stories and responses we all become stronger, and live happier peaceful lives.
Now that’s something I think I can’t be patient about!
    Thanks everyone! 😀

Just thought of one more thing…
My kids’ elementary school always had a fall carnival around Halloween. It was a big deal, held on the baseball field adjacent to the school, with game booths and rides, food, and a band. One year, I dressed up with a blue buffant (sp?) wig, cat-eye glasses, and some other weird get up. I went around saying, “Hello dahling, how awr you?” in the heaviest accent I could come up with. (Just imagine Fran Drescher’s TV mom & grandma Yetta all rolled up into one). I think I was the only parent who dressed up that year. Afterwards, a lot of the adults started wearing costumes along with their kids.
That was just one of the wacky costumes I’ve embarrassed my kids with! (Hey, isn’t that a good parent’s job, to mortify their children? LOL)

I posted something in an old blog that I just happened upon yesterday (Finding Peach Through Detachment). If you get a chance, I’d love for you to read it.
I feel like there’s been a shift within me. I’ve decided to embrace ME, and who I am right now. I’m going to focus on the NOW, knowing that the future I want is right around the corner. But I’m not going to worry about it as much (notice I said “as much.” Hey, I’m not Wonder Woman!! Although I would KILL for that body!! Hahahahahaha!!!).
Case in point. I had the BEST time last night. I saw Frankie Valli in concert, and it was a BLAST!! He was playing at a venue here that is also a resort hotel, and we got a deluxe room package that included the dinner, the show and a room for the night.
As we were sitting by the pool bar, we could hear the band rehearsing. We went over to watch, and I got to see Frankie on stage with his new Four Seasons (very cute young men, I might add!). The cool part was that as they left the stage, they had to pass where we were standing, and I made small talk with them. Then, while walking back to my room, I ran into one of the Four Seasons, and I stopped him and asked if he’d sign something for me. He was shocked and said, “You want MY autograph?” I was like, well yeah! I reached into my bag to take out my “Jersey Boys” shirt, only to realize that I left it in the room! Rats!
After the show (which was awesome), we hung around, and this same guy (Landon Beard) had come out and was talking to another couple. This time, with shirt in hand, I went over to him and told him I had it with me this time, and would he sign it. He was so kind and gracious (and did I mention adorable?), and not only did he sign my shirt, he also took a picture with me!
The point I’m trying to make is that I was living in the moment, having a great time, and not worrying about “what if…” or “when…” I took my power back (Phillip, that one’s for you!)
(Besides, what’s there to worry about? You’re Guides said “yes”, and that’s good enough for me!!)
    Hugs, Fran

    Hi Fran,
If there were NO obstacles in Life…we would not all be here now….in other words, there would be no reason to ” leave home ” on the spiritual plane to experience life in human form on the earthly plane.
Remember, we are all spiritual beings, in human form,on the the earthly plane, or classroom of life. Only when our souls leave our physical bodies, when we die and cross over…. are we
truly ” home ” on the other side….the spiritual plane.
You,( and browneyes ), need to remember too……that souls only come together on the earthly plane, as a catalyst… to help each grow and learn LIFE LESSONS.
Now….even though, you both may feel that YOU are learning at a fairly fast pace…..the people you are both waiting to connect with are ALSO learning and growing too. AND..THEY may be learning at a slower rate, OR….they may have MUCH more to learn than both of you….
It’s kind of like walking down an old country road…..you both may be ten steps ahead of your partner…slow down, be present in the moment, live your life !!!!!!!….and allow your
partner ” catch up ” to you both.
And KNOW THIS !!!!….you both would NOT want that poerson until THEY are READY to be with you both.

You know what Fran? I think you just said what I needed to hear.
“if there were no obstacles and it was too easy, you wouldn’t appreciate what a gift that person really was. (And that goes BOTH ways.”
That was your statement and I think maybe the obstacles for me and the person I am hoping to reconnect with just may be what makes him realize what he had in me and finally appreciate the kind of relationship that was brewing but he wasnt ready for at that time because he still had lessons to learn also, just like me.
I got up this morning and could feel that old impatient feeling and yearning for things to move along faster and then read your post. Patience, patience, patience. Thats what I have to accept and just hold tight for a while longer. I hope you are doing well and thank you for that statement. Your words were a slap upside the head for me, lol. 2. After zapping myself a couple of times,( in a hurry of course ),that exercising PATIENCE is ALWAYS a good thing when working with electricity.

It is the tear [that results] from the injury of the oyster. The treasure of our being in this world is also produced by an injured life. If we had not been wounded, if we had not been injured, then we will not produce the pearl.”

    Hello Gina Rose ~
Your words just hit me like a slap upside the head from a loving friend. 🙂
I always wonder why there seem to be so many obstacles in my path, imagined and otherwise. For me, I thought it was a Life Lesson in patience. I’ve always been impatient…I chalk it up to the environment I grew up in. You have to be on your toes in NY, and everyone is in a rush.
I still hold true to that thought, that I DO have to learn patience, but you made me realize something else. Now I think that obstacles were placed on our path to make us more appreciative of what it is that we want, once we get it. In the case of a romantic interest, if there were no obstacles and it was too easy, you wouldn’t appreciate what a gift that person really was. (And that goes BOTH ways.)
I suppose that living in the moment CAN help those obstacles to disappear, especially if you pair that with FAITH, TRUST, and a BELIEF in not only the Universe hearing your call, but in yourself as well.
    Warm hugs,
    Fran

hey guys! There’s an author named Eckhart Tolle who is DEEP on the power of now.moving beyond thought,.awakening to presence,.relinquishing attachment,.”cease seeking”,.(losing the obsession with the future),.transformation,..and unfolding to divine purpose,.he goes there and then some.
somehow we all still receive the bright moments that remind us what life and humanity is about,.and in today’s world they can happen so fast or were so deep in process they can blow right by.I have an analogy I like use called,.”your the star”,..we write our story on the other side,.(with the help of guides and soul family),.then once were here we direct and star in our own leading role,..ever in search of..

    Good article Abigail,
Just stop to consider this for a moment…. how different the world would be IF people would just be ” mindful of the present moment “.
There would be less failed and strained relationships, on a romantic level, between relatives and family members, even between global nations.
Students would get higher grades, because they would retain whatever they study by ” being present in the moment “, instead of worrying over whether or not they would pass.
There would be less road rage, and less
accidents, all because people would be “present in the moment” and not distracted…..actually saving lives.
In every conceivable way, one can imagine, the world would be a much more peaceful, safe, happy place to live.
Randall made a very good point in a prior blog…..when he stated that “there is no time on the other side”.
What Randall stated is true, I’ve died and crossed over twice,…..there is NO time on the other side. I’ve learned that mastering patience is an EARTHLY PLANE KARMIC LIFE LESSON.
So count to ten first, breathe, in & out, in & out, relax, and be present in the moment…..FOR WHAT YOU DO TODAY,EVERY CHOICE YOU MAKE TODAY AND ACT UPON, CREATES YOUR TOMORROW.

Are far as living life, and especially for cultivating relationships .. learning how to just relax and be ” present in the moment ” is important….think about it, if that person has a good time with you TODAY….they will look forward to TOMORROW even more….and the next day….and the next day, and so forth.
Being ” present in the moment ” also allows you to study and absorb more in any current situation….. for example, maybe ” Mr. Wonderful ” won’t look SO wonderful IF you are taking the time to get to REALLY know him….instead of only focusing on when, or IF, he will propose marriage. Remember, people ” feed off of each other’s energy “.
Our Karmic path is VERY complex….
*****SOME things ARE pre-destined Karma… SOME, but not all, of the obstacles in our path where placed there for a reason….giving us the chance to learn Life Lessons and grow Karmically.*******
Other obstacles, WE create by making bad or impatient choices.
    Patience is a virtue…..and a LIFE LESSON.

Love the story! Yes, growth is an option.
But sometimes our free will kicks in, we get courage that we never thought we would get, and then,
BOOM! We have the power to take control of our life….We are stronger than we think…
Never underestimate the intelligence of a human being….Do give the benefit of the doubt….And always respect yourself….First and foremost.

So, so much truth here Psychic Abigail.I know it is possible, but I am amazed how anxious people, and this includes me, are to call a relationship interest, love. Within my circle of friends, we used to have this running quote that would make us all laugh, and the quote was, “Why can’t you just be more like my dream?” I think we have a tendency to mistake the dream need for the reality, but unfortunately reality shows up eventually. Very good topic Abigail. Thanks!
