6 thoughts on “Can I Meditate While Hung Over?”
chakras don’t exist.
Funny how one can meditate with a hang over. Its not possible
I’m so glad that Susan fixed my account so I could put my 2 cents in on this LOL Ok now I’m laughing ….ouch I personally have never tried meditation with a hang over but I’m sure you could do it, however the best cure for one is the B vitamins and a good long swim for some reason putting your head in cold water and the action of holding your breath works wonders with it ….LOL
Many Blessings

I am no expert, but I would assume that a habit of drinking will affect your meditation practice. Why? Because alcohol drops all of one’s energy into the lower chakras (hence, drunk people can act like “animals”).
The way I was taught, any form of abuse, be it drugs or alcohol, will mess with your psyche and spirit (let’s not even go to the physical and emotional effects). The problem with abuse and habitual consumption of alcohol and mind altering drugs is that any result achieved cannot be verified as being “pure,” but might simply be a result of a chemical running through your system and bridging the wrong connectors.
Experienced practitioners of any path I know will only go on “vision quests,” once they truly mastered opening certain doorways and controlling certain experiences. They also generally choose naturally occurring substances, and alcohol is not one of them!
Again, I am not an expert; I am just reporting what I have been taught and what I have experienced.
Hi,
Actually this sounds like a question my middle brother, Sean, the wild biker brother of mine, would ask me……while drunk…..he he
Oh heavens !!!!! I laughed so hard reading this my sides still ache !!!!!!

Hi…..
LOL!!!!!!….I thought this was hysterically funny…..but …ok…..
Can one meditate while hungover??????……I’d say yes…..( not that I have ever tried that ) ……but yes, it can be done……and might even help alleviate the pain and headache from a hangover. When one meditates properly, using deep breathing techniques, it slows down the heart rate and pulse.
( Stroke and heart attack patients are taught meditation to slow down heart rate and lower blood pressure…..this is actually being taught more and more to those in that risk group).
Meditating BEFORE you get to the hangover part ?????……same answer as above…… IF you are sober enough to do it properly…..hard to meditate I would imagine if you keep falling over drunk ……LOL…he he
Will making a habit of drinking help effect your meditation practice ????? No, nice try though!!!…LOL…..
And, silly me,…… I thought I’d heard it all….LOL…….he he he he he he…….Salute!!!!
Blessed Be )O(
