Retrograde Summer
This has been an interesting summer of retrogrades. Jupiter went retrograde on June 20 and won’t go direct again till October 18. Neptune followed shortly after that on June 25 and will remain until December 10. We even had Chiron and Pallas Athene go retrograde in July! You would think that we’d had enough crazy retrograde energy flying around, but this month sees good old Uranus turning backward for quite a while as well. It goes retrograde on August 19 and lasts until January 18, 2022.

As it is an outer planet, Uranus takes its own sweet time to completely move through the zodiac – a whopping 84 years and spends about seven years in each sign. Thanks to this slow-motion and distance, Uranus is considered a generational planet along with Neptune, Pluto, Sedna, and Quaoar.
