How can we make it work for us? One of my favorite quotes is “we live life moving forward, we understand it looking back.” How Mercury is that? In addition, what better use of this vibration then to look back at our lives as the year comes to end so that we might move forward without some of the baggage that we have carried around for way to long?
There is an old song called “Turn Turn Turn”… sung by the Byrds – one of the verses is:
A time to build up, a time to break down
A time to dance, a time to mourn
A time to cast away stones, a time to gather stones together
These words are also very Mercury, and point to the fact that everything is timing.
Without Mercury retrogrades, we would not have that special enhanced time to clear out, look back, be reminded, and enjoy memories as well as the opportunity to realize our full potential. This time with the Sun in Scorpio for most of the retrograde, our deepest feelings emerge and necessary changes will occur. Feeling emotional with our children, family and friends guides us to look at relationships that are strong and ones that are weak. We find opportunity to fix relationships that might fall out of our orbits if you do not exam the reason for them going off balance in the first place. It is not a time for the blame game, but a real reality check. Taking responsibility will give power and insight to make even the hardest or strained relationship right again.
A good look at money issues will help to put finances in order before the New Year starts. Re-solving problems, re-newing agreements, re-financing what needs to be.
There will be a re-freshing of financial positions before this month is over. Keeping an open mind, facing facts about spending habits and making a plan for success will keep you on the fast track for a solid future.
With the biggest holidays of the year getting close this is a great time to look at your home and make the changes necessary to feel comfortable – re-arranging furniture, getting rid of outdated, useless items will give the house a fresh feel.
Going back to school, enhancing education, this is the time of year to take a look at your career goals and decide what you need to do to re-plenish your knowledge base in order to make more money, feel more satisfied and happy with your work. If you are not happy in your current career this is a perfect time to re-think what you love doing and how to put it into motion.
Style – for those of you who like fashion what a better time to re-new your wardrobe, get a new hairstyle, get to the gym, throw out old clothes and shoes or donate them to a charity. Re-vamp yourself, it is so much fun.
For many people living on the east coast this is a major time of re-building. Nature is a force to be reckoned with for sure, and with the worst storm in our lifetime in the rear view mirror, I wish everyone a productive Mercury Retrograde.
