Understanding Your Daily Focus

With the summer fully upon us I have been spending more time outside, walking the woods of my childhood home and the numerous walking paths that surround the town. I love looking at the different trees and plants, some of which I don’t remember being here when I was younger.

Did you know that trees can have messages for us? There is a whole divination technique that is based on using different types of wood! It is in the spirit of the Ogham that we take the meditations for this week’s Daily Focus, in order to help us to keep growing and reaching for the sky.

Taking bold action to move our lives forward is not always an easy thing to do. We all have moments of doubt, and the trick is to not let it make you afraid to move forward and make things happen. Today’s word is Action.

Ultimately, we have control over the people that we let into our lives and how much control they have over us. There is nothing that says that we have to allow negative people to place their toxicity into our lives where it can sap our energy and positive growth, no matter who they may be. Today’s word is Positivity.

Some days we wake up and just feel the need to turn over a new leaf and try something new and exciting. These periods of newness are amazing gifts from the Universe, and we should strive to take advantage of them when they arrive. What is something new that you have been drawn to? Today’s word is Change.

Life can be overwhelming, and we try to do so much with the few hours that we have. But do we do enough to ensure that when we look back, we can say that we did indeed lead a life that was full and satisfying? Adding those activities and things that we truly enjoy to our daily to-do list is just as important as the errands we do and the hours we spend at work, perhaps more so. Today’s word is Full.

2020 has definitely been a year for transformative cycles! These cycles can overpower us sometimes and leave us feeling like we are spent. Yet, just as the phoenix is reborn from the ashes, we too are transformed and emerge anew in our understanding of ourselves. Today’s word is Metamorphosis.

This is a bit of a continuation of yesterday’s meditation. Many times, we find ourselves in back to back challenges/transformative cycles and wonder if we have the strength to take another step or face another obstacle. We do! Never forget the strength that we all have inside to carry us through whatever we are facing. Today’s word is Strength.
