Lynne from Norwich, New York writes:
I dreamed recently that I was able to help spirits cross over. They came to my home and would ask me to help them go on to the light. My mother is a very accurate intuitive psychic. She told me this dream means I am ready to develop spiritually, that I need to open myself more to spiritual influences. Is she correct, and what should I do to develop my abilities? Thank you!
Hello Lynne,
There are people, either living or on the other side, who help the newly deceased cross into the afterlife, so you may well have that talent. If you want to accelerate your spiritual growth, writing down and analyzing your dreams is an excellent way to start. The Mystical, Magical, Marvelous World of Dreams by Wilda B. Tanner is a superb reference book on dream symbols. If you want more in-depth information on dreams, check out the books by Patricia Garfield, Ph.D. and Robert Moss, two of my favorite dream authors.
For me, the work of Edgar Cayce really launched my spiritual growth when I was in my teens. His books cover a wide variety of spiritual concepts, from reincarnation to the link between your physical health and your emotions. I’m also keen on the books by Robert Monroe, a fascinating look into other dimensions, including the afterlife, as seen by an astral traveler.
Perhaps most important, praying and meditating on a daily basis will get you in touch with your Higher Power/Source/God, whatever that means for you. Happy journeying!
Sweet dreams,
Cortney

Sounds like you have been given a wonderful gift. I met someone who has the gift and is afraid of it and won’t use or develop it. I think we’re given these special gifts for a reason. Like some people play the piano or are able to do complex math problems, having any psychic ability is a gift to be cultivated, not ignored. Best of luck to you.
