On this day in 1843, the Charles Dickens novel, A Christmas Carol, was first published in England. Now a beloved classic, the transformation of Ebeneezer Scrooge (courtesy of spirits from his past, present and future) has been translated globally as well as for stage and screen, standing the test of time – and spiritual significance. An Aquarius, Dickens himself had an astrological predisposition to writing about matters of the heart and those of a mysterious (read: paranormal) nature. Not only do Venus, Mercury and Pluto dominate his chart, but with nearly equal doses of Pisces, Sagittarius and Capricorn, his combination of sensitivity, energy and determination were destined to send a message to the world… One that is perhaps best summed up by Tiny Tim’s famous line, “God bless us everyone!”
