The story of the Three Kings, or Three Wisemen of the Nativity story in Christianity, comes to the forefront around this time of year. Also known as the Magi, according to the Bible, Three Kings visited the baby Jesus bearing Gold, Frankincense and Myrrh. Not much is known about who the actual Kings were, it is believed they could have been Persian Kings or Zoroastrian priests. Another controversial topic – the Star of Bethlehem which, according to the story, guided them to Jesus, may have happened several years before Jesus was born. Some astronomers point to a Jupiter conjunct Saturn in Pisces in 7 B.C. as being an event in which a brilliant star could be seen. Regardless of your beliefs, the Gifts of the Magi is a story about kindness and brotherhood.
