Can Sex Last Too Long?

The embarrassment of erectile dysfunction is well know—but what about the reverse, lasting too long? Apparently it’s become an increasing problem among men, leaving many women worn-out and exhausted… and not in a good way. Is it really true that sex can last too long?

FOX News reports:

When it comes to sex and the male member, the laws of physics don’t always apply. What goes up sometimes comes down all too quickly, or sometimes stays up all too long. Never-ending stamina—and an always-hard penis— may sound great on paper, but in reality, it can be awkward and exhausting for both of you.

This condition, delayed ejaculation (DE), used to be relatively rare compared to other male sexual issues like erectile disorder (ED) and premature ejaculation (PE), but as I discuss in my new book Penis Problems: A Men’s Guide, DE is rapidly becoming a major issue.

One of the major reasons is the rapid proliferation of Internet porn—these days, all you have to do is log on to your laptop to be a few clicks away from everything from the Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Issue to hardcore video clips. Easy access to porn has made frequent masturbation among men more common, which turn can increase the time it takes to reach orgasm and ejaculate during real sex. With so many varieties of porn at your fingertips, you may get in the habit of having a steady flow of sexual novelty and intense visual stimulation and therefore have a more difficult time reaching peak levels of sexual arousal with your real-world partner.

But unlike PE, DE generally isn’t a condition you’re born with. Instead it can be triggered or influenced by a number of different factors.

What do you think—can there ever be too much of a good thing? Can sex ever last too long?

Sex, Love and Time are nothing alike…yet are children joined in a fractal maze. Sex is a state…a emotion. A momentary physical emotion that can join karmas if done right. Or destroy realities. I think if someone is more interested in the time, sex is the least of the problems. Is the clock going to explore sexy curves, look in your eyes to see the sparkle, watch you walk when no one is looking? I want my partner enjoying her dreams and feeling sexually free…not worried about how fast she gets off. But then again men will never be right, and the woman always complains. Because she makes it about her, right ladies. A woman will trick the man by doing things he likes, then when they “Land their man”, they seem to not like to do those things anymore. They don’t care if the man likes it or not. Of course the man is now unhappy, and in many cases looks for a replacement because what was fun and sexy is now tired and bitchy. And when she is replaced….its the mans fault lol.

    Hi,

Yes, sex can last too long.

I was married for 32 years to a man a LEO, who was , I guess one could say, truly blessed….in that he never, not once ! , failed to achieve erection and furthermore could go for HOURS !

While I would love to give myself a pat on the back and take credit, it wasn’t me or the fact that I was doing a bit of modeling at the time……..but rather, his doctor said he had unusually high testosterone and that it was rare, but normal for him. ( and no, he wasn’t bald or had thining hair either )

He was 10 years older than myself but at times, and I never complained to him or others
about his ” gift “…LOL…..but I can honestly say that at times he just plain wore me out !

    Blessed Be )O(

I think sex can definitely last too long.
I don’t believe it’s the internet porn *as much* as “erectile dysfunction” drugs.
I know of men who have taken it just for fun.
And older men who may need the drug, still wind up lasting a bit too long.
Long loving sensual sex can be wonderful.
But not so if the person insists on going on all night more often than not!
It can get quite abrasive and feels just as bad as being with someone hurrying it up and finishing quickly! Far from being wonderful, it’s controlling and even abusive on the part of whomever keeps it going. And, while usually it’s an aggressive man who wants his high from sex to last for hours, it’s not aways a man, either.
