50 Shades of Grey Encourages Couples to Try New Adventures
The book 50 Shades of Grey, which created a huge sensation by popularizing the idea of light SM and bondage among people who had never considered the idea before, has been shown by a new poll to be massively changing people’s sexual attitudes.

Sex got better for three-quarters of us in 2012, according to a new poll, and the ‘Fifty Shades’ effect was a huge factor in our increased friskiness. A fifth of those surveyed said the E L James trilogy had improved their sex lives.
Other reasons for more steamy times under the covers included more experimentation (55 per cent), greater frequency (33 per cent), and greater confidence (22 per cent).
Asked if their sex life had improved in 2012, 73 per cent said yes, 16 per cent said it had stayed the same and just 11 per cent said it had got worse.
The poll also revealad that New Year is one of the most romantic times of the year: 22 per cent of us know a couple who have got engaged at Hogmanay, while a confident 63 per cent of those polled expect to have sex at New Year.
