If we’re honest about the purpose of social media, we acknowledge that we post pictures and status updates to get validation (“likes”) from friends, family, and even strangers. Otherwise, what’s the point of sharing our lives with the rest of the world? But if fewer and fewer people aren’t taking the time to interact with your posts, it may be time for a social media makeover. Maybe your posts reek with self-pity. The goal here is to create a curated feed that gives you a positive experience every time you scroll through it.

Your social media feed should be a nice little break from reality. However, it can’t be that if it’s full of distressing posts.
