What does a typical day look like for you?
I have always been an early-to-bed, early-to-rise gal. I have the occasional day where I’m working till 2 AM but most workdays begin around 4-6 AM.
I like spending my first few minutes greeting the day and setting happy intentions, then joining my cats for some cat stretches and kitty assisted yoga. After a quick celery juice (yes, I am a convert and I love the taste!) I’ll sometimes take a quick walk around the block, then sit down to coffee, work, emails, and more work! But I view my readings as joy, not work, and I really love the variety of clients and questions I get daily. I love what I learn from my clients each day, and when I go out after work, I like sharing the word or reading theme of the day with my friends and family. I am very blessed and honored to read for people.
How do you relax or clear your mind after being on the line all day?
Water! Whether liquid or frozen, I love water. I will swim in a hot spring or take mineral salt baths when readings get heavy. I sail, ski, and snowboard, or I take a gentle walk along a gorgeous mountain river when I need to clear my head or have some fun. I also find listening to luminaries like Abraham, Arielle Ford, Wayne Dyer, and Louise Hay to be most helpful and nourishing right when I need a mental boost.
What are the fun things that you like to do in your free time?
I love food and food loves me! I love cooking for others and volunteer at a weekly woman’s study group. Of course, I love being on or in water, Pilates, and yoga classes, and when the water is just right, I even try my best at paddle board yoga – although I tend to do more paddle board swimming! I’m also learning to paint and knit at the moment too.
How does being a psychic affect your day to day life?
My family tends to call me for their lost keys a lot. I love helping people and I know my purpose is to be both student and teacher – listener and advisor. I think I have a more settled awareness because I use my psychic gifts daily and I enjoy the peace and learning I get from my guides. I may still lose my car in big parking lots, but at least I know who to call for help in a hurry!
Tell us an interesting story you think readers would like to learn about you.
The photo of me sailing is on my dad’s pride and joy – a boat he lovingly designed and built. It’s on Lake Michigan – in July! For those of you not familiar with Lake Michigan, it is more like an ocean and I have been in waves over 20 feet tall while sailing the Great Lakes. Fun fact: I have raced the Sydney-to-Hobart race a few times and have been in waves of over 60 feet! Sailing is not for the faint of heart. One time my dad and I were taking our boat on a long trip around the mitten and we were planning on stopping every night to explore a new Michigan port. But we were sailing so fast and having so much fun that we sailed through the night making record time to our home port. We laughed about that for years – going too fast to stop! Some of my most incredible life experiences have been out at sea and I keep finding reasons to go sailing.
Have you helped a client in a memorable way?
One of my most memorable moments was helping a client find lost jewelry. If I remember correctly, because most times I do not remember readings, the items were wedding gifts and one-of-a-kind heirlooms. I told the very distraught woman she would get her items back. I pictured what they were in and very clearly saw her relieved. Yet she called month after month and the jewelry had not turned up. After a while, and feeling her frustration, I remembered our conversations. She was always upbeat, even when nothing appeared, and I always felt guilty she didn’t have the items back yet. She continued to call, and other predictions came to pass. It took two years, but she called and read to me what I first predicted, and the items were in the bag I described and even had a smell I described. I think we both cried in joy and thankfulness to our guides and the Universe. It taught me a very valuable lesson that everything happens in divine timing!
