I have been with my man for over 20 years and now he is facing prison time. His mother lives near me and I will be taking care of her while he’s in jail. I am dedicated to him, but he has screwed me over. He is seeing other women! Before I give up everything—my home, friends, and my family—for a man who would not do the same for me, I want to get your insight. Should I leave? I’m thinking about starting a new life away from here. Or, should I stick around because he will change his ways?

Starting a new life requires courage and faith because even good change can be scary. However, it will ultimately free you from the bondage of pain you’ve suffered for so many years.

You will feel joyful and free like a great burden has lifted because that’s just what will happen for you. You deserve all the goodness you are going to create for yourself, Sonnita.
