About two years ago, while living in Florida, I began a spiritual awakening. I saw and experienced many unexplained things. I was so alive and thrilled with my new outlook on life. Then all of a sudden my world was turned upside down when I discovered my husband was in love with someone else. Everything happened so fast and before I knew it I flew back to Texas, got divorced and lost my job.
It seemed that I had lost my spiritual gifts and abilities as well. I feel as if I dropped off the face of the earth and can’t seem to get my life back on track. For someone who was on top of the world, it sure seems like I am in a holding zone for some reason. Were my psychic experiences in Florida related to that geographical area or is there some other reason that I seem to have lost most of the abilities I had just discovered there? I had believed that maybe I was meant to help other people with my gifts, but now I can’t even help myself. I’m very confused about everything and why I feel like I have been deserted by my guides and angels. Please help me to get to the bottom of this.

Your energy does seem to flow more freely in Florida than Texas, but that doesn’t mean that you have to pack your bags and move. Of course, it is an option that you may choose to exercise in a few years!
You had a spiritual awakening followed by an emotionally turbulent time. That tends to skew things, because emotions have a way of interfering with (or downright controlling) energy flow. You still have the gifts, but you are a wee bit clogged up. You are holding on to a lot of emotional baggage at the cellular level. Some energy work and cleansings can help get things flowing for you again. You may want to work with a local Reiki practitioner so you can more fully understand your own energetic currents and blockages. That will help you, as will study and meditation. In general, life has you a little bit out of whack.
Take care of your physical body and your conscious mind. Personal and spiritual well-being are invaluable assets when exploring and utilizing psychic gifts.
Because you were a bit of a late-bloomer, there will be times when you feel as if you have to work harder to tap into your natural abilities. It takes time to get used to using your gifts, and recognizing your limitations. Always be mindful that your gifts are an aid, a tool – not a crutch. Understanding that can help you to take back control, and the responsibility of being gifted.
When you get back on track, which you will, you will help other people with your abilities. I don’t see you working as a full-time psychic or anything, but you will become involved with a metaphysical group or community. It is in this arena that you will give some readings, but your role will be more of a guide or teacher. It will be fun, and you will never stop learning and sharing.
Your guides and angels haven’t deserted you. Sometimes they aren’t talking, but there are also times when you are failing to hear what they have to say. Trust me, when it really matters, they’ll come through loud and clear.
